Walker named OLB coach
03:51 PM - Feb 11, 2017
http://www.nwahomepage.com/razorback-nation/walker-named-outside-linebackers-coach/654794214

"Less than a week removed from coaching in Super Bowl LI, Walker becomes the second addition to Arkansasí defensive staff this offseason after spending the last two seasons with the Falcons"

"Walker spent two seasons as a defensive assistant on Nick Saban's staff at LSU, handling quality control duties"

"His two seasons at Oklahoma featured an 11-2 record in 2013 that included a win over Alabama in the Sugar Bowl."

This guy spends two years teaching Nick Saban how to coach defense and wins a national championship, then goes on to oklahoma where he beats his old apprentice saban in the sugar bowl in year two then spends two seasons coaching up the Atlanta Falcons Defense and they get all the way to the superbowl.

I expect a NC within 2 years!

Guess we are renewing tix.  Pretty certain we will get kicked out of Lot 44 this year.

Sounds a lot better than the other recent hire.
What kinda caddy? It makes a difference. I wanna go out in style. Not drunk as s***, dead on the kitchen floor with my pants around my ankles with a tub of KY in one hand and a dildo in the other.

I really can't express how much I hate this hire.

Shocking, I know.

Seems like they are prioritizing 3-4 knowledge over recruiting.  I'm sure that's a plan you're not happy with, but there's some amount of wisdom in doing so, at least for now.

Walker's resume makes Rory Segrest look like Nick Saban.

And he's never recruited at a level higher than DII.

Lol. He's there for the 3-4 transition. Nothing more nothing less.

I'm just ready for Bert to go.  This is painful to watch.

I really don't enjoy being this negative.  It sucks.

Uh, I'm not pulling for us to lose.  I'd LOVE for CBB to have success here.

I just don't think he will.

And he's not going to "live or die" by these hires.

He'll either win, or he'll lose and we'll be in the position of either keeping him or making him a VERY rich man.  He's in the best situation ever.

Hell, I heard ol' Bert on the radio a few weeks ago, and he sounded appalled that anyone would be critical of his tenure here.

He has had to rebuild the culture here.  Lots of things he has done right.  He just hasn't been able to develop that killer instinct though.  BA had a certain amount of it for like 6 games.

as far as the D, something had to change.  he made some changes, guess we will see if they pay off.  my worry is that it will take a couple years to start paying off, and a couple years is all CBB has left.  its 2017 and 2019-2020 is when his buyout becomes manageable.   at that point he will have been here the better part of a decade and will probably have a worse record than HDN.

whatever happens, we are looking at 2 more years to see if CBB has what it takes.

I mean, you don't have to be. You could just as easily look at this hire and see the 3-4 transition as more important than recruiting. Becuase let's be real. Even "stud" recruiters have struggled here. And I'm not really sure how many stud recruiters that have 3-4 OLB coaching experience there were that were willing to come here.

I would be positive if I saw anything to be positive about.

I was very positive the first couple of years of Petrino, because you could see what was coming.  I just don't have that feeling with Bielema after year four.

Literally nothing positive? Hell, I may have to blame that corn dogger whispering sweet nothings in your ear at this point! Lol. Surely you could find something.  My biggest positive under CBB has been QB play since Enos got here. We've got lots of talent lined up at both QB and RB. How can those not be positives?
